But I think that there may be reason for some optimism.
Not saying that they all blew the doors off, but this was the 1st time together at these positions for 4 of them. FOUR of them. Think about that.
I think we definitely have our present and future RG in Edwards.
Don't get too hung up about which positions they will play. This is Kromer, that can change. They sure aren't going to bench Hav when he's ready to come back. Evans has always looked like a guard to me anyway. And I can see Edwards at LOT.
Tonight we did not see the blueprint for the 2020 OL.
We saw that some recent additions to the OL are a lot better than some people were assuming.
Entering next year they are a talent pool to be drawn on depending on what's needed and what arrangement works best. Again, not THE blueprint.
...
Curious why you see Evans as a guard.
I think he has nimble feet. He looked like a dancing bear out there last night. Maybe that translates to guard, but his feet are better than Edwards. Evans is just shorter, but he has very long arms, close to 35” if I recall.
I know Edwards said his best position is RG, and maybe that’s what he was told and they will change that, but he sounded pretty sure of it when he told JB Long.
Of course, nothing is cast in concrete this early, but I think they stay where they are until further notice.
Another nice test next week against Raven for further assessment. TBD.
