I certainly need you to point out where I said he doesn't read the field. Once that's done, I would then be able to agree that I've exaggerated.
Now if you agree that he's not as good as Brady at reading the field, then I'm not exaggerating.
If you think he is as good as Brady, well uh ok! Let's have that discussion!
It's ok if you don't see a QB who sometimes locks on to Kupp. I saw it the other day when four players were surrounding Kupp and he forced it to him anyway. If you didn't see that, it's ok. And if you feel he was right to do it in that instance, well, I guess that's ok too.
We all have different vision and different understanding of the game. Mine says that throwing into a crowd is probably not the wisest decision.
He reads the field far more and locks on far less than you seem to be saying.
If you're saying he's not Brady then he joins the crowd of good starting qbs who are also not Brady.
Yeah there's the throw into 4 but as I said about that in another post, sometimes a player's mistake becomes the only thing people can see or think about. Every qb throws into coverage now and then.
I do not see a qb who is so reliant on Kupp as a security blanket that it indicates a lack of development.
Heck last game Kupp had fewer targets than Everett and just one more each than Woods and Cooks. So out of the 4 guys mentioned, in that game, Kupp gott about 25% of the attention.
