Deadpool
if you cut him pre-June 1st 2021 he would count 8.4m in dead money, and save 4.8m. If they designate him a post june 1st cut, he counts 4.2m in dead money in 2021 and 2022 and saves the Rams 9m in 2021.

In 2022 he would count 4.2m in dead and save 10m. No difference pre or post 6/1.

So IF Gurley can't physically do it anymore, we keep him next year (2020-2021) then cut him after June 1st and save $9 mil for signing other FA in the 2021-2022 season. This will help us keep a more valuable player.
