I guess this is another reaction to a jump to conclusion post. Hard for me to not take the "wait and see" approach.
That said, they looked like a top 5 D out there.
Here's a question... Why even bring in a Marcus Peters if he doesn't fit your scheme? Not that he wasn't solid but I read somewhere that the Rams were trading Peters regardless of acquiring Ramsey. So kind of a failed experiment if so... Seems like someone would know that he wasn't a fit... I mean it took Wade weeks to figure it out, per Wade.
I think they thought they could pair him up with Talib and let him play that off man robber style defense, but they saw what happened when Talib went down last year that he struggles trying to play man.... so when Talib went down again it was time to move on and get something while they can, instead of nothing at the end of the year when they let him walk. Just glad they didn't extend him early and were free to make a trade li,e they did.... worked out brilliantly so far as he still helping us out by changing the Ravens vs Seahawks game with that lovely pick six!!!
