The ones likely gone are Whitworth and Blythe. I don't know if Noteboom will be ready to play by early next year. Allen remains the center. IF Edwards can play LOT they will need 2 guards. Maybe they have one on the roster. Hav slipped this year or was exposed more (one or the other) so who knows about ROT.

They don't have a lot of cap space for free agents. Plus Rams FAs include Peters, Fowler, Brockers, and Littleton. They could keep at least one of those.

The OL is top priority in the offseason. Every one of those defensive players is in jeopardy of not returning, they have got to ensure they protect their $134M investment.

The only thing different is Noteboom being injured.

Before the season started we knew that AW was gone. Hav is always on a contract that lets you walk from him at any time. Blythe was not a sure re-sign. Allen was going to be the center.

But the story all along was that the OL was going to have to develop this year---Kromer even openly states it. And we always knew there would have to be replacements next year for at least AW and probably Blythe too. As I said the only change in this is ithe injury to NB.

As much as you want to believe it, I don't see anything indicating they think they "miscalculated." In terms of this OL not playing well against top DLs that was equally true last year. Chicago, Det, Phil, NE. But last year it was because the aging Sullivan plus Blythe plus Hav in pass pro combo did not work against the best DLs. This year it was the opposite, young players needed to develop.

You have to know this but--I have always had very little patience for the argument that only high picks make good OLs. I treat it as being less than completely informed about how OL building works throughout the league.
