Taking a team from the 7 yd line with around a minute to play to set them up for a relatively short winning FG. He is erasing many doubters. I've always been a fan of his -since Cal-but I never thought of him as Brady like when it came to playing under pressure with little time remaining and needing a score. I'm beginning to change.
On Gurley: Yes he showed his speed and straight ahead power. But his days of jumping over players appear over. He can still be a very good back but I don't think he will come back to being elite as he has been. With that in mind McVay is determined to find a way best to use his talent. Before it was simple. Find a way-any way-to get him the ball. Not that easy any more-especially facing 6 man fronts.
The Rams have a number of comebacks with Goff. The most famous of which is the 2018 championship game.
Last year's 10/7 Seattle game, they came from down 24-31 at the end of the 3rd quarter to win it 33-31,
In the GB game, they were down 26-27 halfway through thr 4th quarter and won it 29-27.
In the Chiefs game, they were down 47-51 with just under 3 minutes left and won it 54-51,
In the already mentioned championship game, they were down 20-23 with under 2 minutes left, tied it, and won in over time.
