I fully believe yesterday, Gurley was having a bad day. He told mcVay as much and so Gurley becomes the decoy. Gameplan changes 2 hrs before kickoff and the mess you say yesterday is a result of bad arthritis day...
Again, who knows what, because everyone is either lying or unwilling to accept the truth and that is Gurley is damaged to some extent. And its not anything that can repaired with time or rest or surgery, otherwise he would have done it. It has to be chronic. Its also the reason the Rams spent draft capital on Henderson.
This is not going to get better IMO. In fact as long as they treat Gurley like a #1 back, its going to remain the same. Either the Rams admit to themselves that the best way forward is with game planning Brown as the starter and Gurley as the backup and at least have a healthy RB they can count on come day, or they continue this charade that every other NFL front office can see and deal with Gurley maybe being OK come gameday.
