Now, let's get to reality.
Rams are 3-0 and it's early in the season. Stop the sky is falling talk.
Rams, in the last 3 games, have started 2 rookies at Center and LG. Also, another rookie Demby when Blythe was out. Plus, Higbee has missed a game and a half with injury, and we all know that Everett is nowhere near the blocker that Higbee is. That is REALITY not fantasy.
It's week #4 and Gurley's YPC is up 4.6 from 4.1.......Touches are down, which is EXACTLY the plan McVay has wanted.
When do I start to worry about Gurley's knee?
When he gets a catch or running lane, has time to get to the 2nd level, then that burst of speed to outrun the angles the DB's have on him to the end one is no longer there. You see, Gurley could always take it the distance when he got to the secondary, like Dickerson. They had that burst to outrun the defense to the end zone.
Gurley has yet to have that type of play yet this season......Let's see if that burst is still there.
