I can understand where you are coming from on the grades. 60+ grades for OL is good in PFF land. For context, goto the positional report for OL and you can see the highest grades out there and where individuals place relative to other OL.

For example, only two tackles graded above 80.0. 5 graded in the 70s.

Also, they are grading every play not just plays where the ball is run behind them. Its a +/- scale in increments of 0.5 between -2.0 and +2.0.

I thought Allen was bad. Overpowered and run past. He didnt bring anything positive imo. Ill watch the tape but he was very disappointing.

Didn't really get a feel for the others live.

I thought Allen had a real fine debut as a starter, luke. Especially after being deprived of an opportunity to gel with his fellow starters in the preseason.

I think you might be pleasantly surprised when you isolate on Allen in your review. For context, remember that it was his first start and against a quality opponent. And his 2nd half kept improving as did everybody else’s.

Goff said he was hardly touched in this game, that the one sack was on him. There were 169 yards rushing by the Rams.

I mean, how bad could the OL have been? Lol.

It takes 3X the energy to play defense than offense
