My guess is that sort of thing heats up more around the league after preseason week 3. Snead may also wait until after week 1 of the regular season to pick up a veteran because of the guaranteed contract thing. But who knows. We'll see how motivated the fringe OL on the Rams are this week vs. Denver. maybe being at home will help.
The guy I always think about in this regard is Garrett Reynolds (2015 Rams). He was a part-time player for five years previously (27 starts) in ATL and DET and came to the Rams that year, taking over at LG when Saffold went down in week 4 and making 11 starts at 2 or 3 different positions and playing pretty well. I believe in Edwards and Evans long-term abilities but coming out of the gate in 2019 the Rams would be very well-served finding a guy like Reynolds.
