He is insurance/depth (for 2019) and I don't see him as being a starter by any means in 2020. But could he be the CB4 in 2020 with Long starting and NRC the nickel? Definitely could.
There is a $2M cap hit if they trade or release him this year so that's why I would say he is not tradable (unless someone comes calling with a 3rd round pick or something which just isn't happening).

So you think that they may feel obligated to keep Hill and release a young CB that is playing better this preseason?
That would be hard to swallow by both the fans and fellow teammates. Would violate an unwritten code that states that best players stay, best players play. Regardless of contracts or draft position.
As an aside, what are your thoughts on my hypothetical situation where Wolford dramatically outplays Bortles during the remainder of the preseason? I would love to see Wolford earn a spot on this 53.
