Keep in mind Troy Hill received a 2-year, $3.2M contract extension recently including $2M guaranteed so I would highly doubt he's traded. I think they want him for both depth this year and continuity next year if/when Talib and/or Peters leave.
IMHO, Hill would be an inadequate starting replacement for either outside CB position. So that is a moot point in my estimation.
As to his contract extension, why would that not be tradable to a desperate CB needy team?
I think that Hill was extended for injury insurance purposes and before they could see both Peterson and Williams flashing. Now that they’ve seen the flashing in camp and the Raider ps game? I think that they may be reassessing that Hill status in the pecking order.
