Hope Rath did not do what he was accused of, that's all. Guilty or innocent, it's still hard to move on after something like this.
He never denied the accusation.
He argued that he was too messed up to willfully intend the action.
Since the law in question turns on willful intent, that was enough to trigger reasonable doubt.
But the "not guilty" verdict in this case does NOT mean he didn't do it. Just that he was too messed up to know what he was doing.
