The Rams kind of snuck Rath back "in" without anything being mentioned at all.
He was found not guilty by a.jury in 20 minutes of deliberations..... man deserves to have his job back without a press conference
It's not quite that simple since he never denied doing what he was accused of, plus the league and the Rams are not obligated to abide by the verdict if they believe other issues were involved.
It is a matter of accepting his defense. His defense is not that he did not do it, his defense is that he was too messed up as a result of the recent stroke, the meds, and drinking to have done it with conscious willful intent.
To hire him back or in the case of the league to not suspend him, means they too have to accept that defense as valid.
If they didn't it would not have mattered what the verdict was.
Apparently they have no problem with that defense.
