Not that it's a problem as long as we win when it counts. But between sitting starters and lack of much at all during preseason games, McVay is perfect proof of why preseason games can and maybe SHOULD be eliminated.
Cause McV does nothing with them when it comes to the starters.
And this is no argument to keep them, BUT, McV would have to be a bad coach if he didn't get SOMETHING out of them.
(Which is not the same as entertaining US.)
. BUT they now have some film of players under stress situations to make decisions about:
* the OL
* the LBs
* a few of the DL
They see what some players are doing, maybe fix some things, go from there and do it again next ps game...see who develops. It's just coaching and making roster choices.
I like Wolford btw, if they keep 3 qbs he could be a good future #2.
Again, as long as he HAS TO field teams in pre-season games, what is HE getting out of them as a coach? I think it's some good things, he makes good use of them. BUT not in a way (again) that entertains US.
