I am betting the same pundits will, talk about how much bigger he looks and that's why he's better.
People naturally look for a reason to change their opinion other than "he got better cause he just needed time".
Now they can save face by saying he's a "different" guy now that he is bigger and stronger.
If he dramatically improves as anticipated, and so is more consistent across time, a lot of guys will say "he got better cause he needed time."
In fact my bet is, that will be the dominant "changed my mind" narrative about Goff.
