He's a top offensive mind, sure. But he's also hungry to improve and learn and build a deeper knowledge of the game. He has surrounded himself with top coaches that keep him grounded and who are teaching him. And that's the thing about him IMO... He's not an egomaniac the way a lot of top NFL minds are. But he's every bit as competitive, and isn't ever going to sit back and think he's arrived.
So I don't see the Rams taking a step back just yet. Their roster has some questions, but all rosters do, and all the key pieces are in place to include a guy who will go down as one of the best head coaches of his generation running the show. They're already tuning Goff through the OTAs with a strategy of seasoning him with the things teams will copy from what slowed the offense late last season and in the Super Bowl. McVay is anticipating the league.
The dude is going to win us Super Bowls. Starting this year. IMO.
Agree merlin. I do think that the Seahags and Whiners will give us a run for the money but I still see the Rams as the team to beat in the NFC West. I think the only thing that will prevent the Rams from winning the division is a rash of injuries or the OL completely failing. Or some combination of the two.
For the guy to say the Rams may be the second or
THIRD best team in the division is crazy talk. If things go a little wrong I could see second but third? I don't see it.
