IMO getting the TE coach from the skins IMO we will see good improvement from them....do that and IMO it will more than offset any concerns with Todd......By the way I think he will be just fine....The major point to look at IMO will be the replacement of Saffold and Sully.....yes Sully wore down as the season went on but his knowledge can't be replaced with Allen. Allen IMO will be more physical and hold up better, but the blocking schemes...not sure right out of the box he can do it as well.....(maybe Blythe can help out?)
Noteboom taking over for Saffold.....well I think that's a better fit, but again don't know if he can be as reliable right out of the box either. IMO that 1st game will be a good litmus test for the O-Line...and they will develop as the season goes on....
The defense IMO will be the big thing we need right off the bat to offset the youngsters on the O-Line....And with Weddle and Matthews out there I think they can do that. Losing Suh IMO isn't all that big a deal.....IMO Gaines is a really true NT....something Wade hasn't really had since coming on board.....The rotation of Gaines/Day and occasionally Brockers will more than offset the loss of Suh.....not talking about needed sacks here....but stuffing that middle, taking on doubles.....add to that the backend with all that knowledge, ability I can see decent improvement from the LB group because of those 2 areas getting better.
