In 2018 Goff threw 59 passes out of 568 attempts at or between the hash marks, Brady threw 74 out of 574 attempts. Basically, Brady threw 1 more attempt per game at or between the hash marks than Goff did.
(Source: next gen stats [
nextgenstats.nfl.com] I counted pass attempts beyond the line of scrimmage where the circle they show either touched a hash mark or was between the hash marks. For some reason the didn't have Goff's stats for a couple weeks nor did they have Brady's for a couple weeks. For those weeks I counted the pass attempts for each of the receivers they reported and concluded that the totals represented Goff's and Grady's numbers for those weeks.)
Edit Using that same source ... they have a chart that breaks down the field by thirds. Note that this is not the same as 'between the hashes'. The hashes are less than 7 yards apart, the middle third of the field is almost 18 yards. With that in mind, Goff had better numbers in the middle third of the field than Brady in 2018.
Between the LOS and 10 yards - Goff: 109.8, Brady: 87.5
Between 10 and 20 yards - Goff 98.7, Brady 100.5
Beyond 20 yards - Goff 106.3, Brady 69.1
