Yes so did I...Born in 66 so I was 7 in 1973, but that's when I remember really becoming a Ram fan. Remember when the Rams beat Dallas in October of 73...Funny thing about them being 1-5 in preseason under Chuck Knox. One of their preseason games was nationally televised against the Dolphins and the Rams were down 28-0 before James Harris came off the bench to lead the Rams for two late touchdowns to make the score a bit more respectable 28-14 as preseason back then more the starters did play.
I recall my father saying to me "Your Rams don't look so good." and actually saying I wished they kept Roman Gabriel over John Hadl. Anyway, thanks for that trip down memory lane, it's too bad those Knox teams never got to the Superbowl because that was a talented bunch...Irony is Rams brought in Hadl because Gabriel was injured in 72 and the Rams wanted to have another quality signal caller, but Gabriel scoffed and forced a trade to the Eagles, which did get the Rams WR Harold Jackson, who they originally had drafted, but old George Allen traded him to Philadelphia.
