I see it much the same way you do.
I’m not pessimistic on Fowler or Matthews or the edge rushers in general, just guarded. I’ve got to see it too on Fowler. Until then, I’m not buying that he’s a double digit sack guy. I feel your sack estimate on Matthews is pretty spot on. As for the rest, I temper my enthusiasm because they are all unproven. At best, there is hope that one of the many names emerges.
I think I am a tad bit more pessimistic on Brockers than many of you. I am not a big fan of saying a player’s performance dipped because of injury as that’s just too speculative for me. And IMO, while the 2017 version was much better than last year, it wasn’t special.
I am very bullish on our secondary. There’s some strong players there already and we added some players who at the very least should be solid.
