at some point 3/4" starts adding up

May 27, 2019 09:24AM
34" to 33 1/4". its only 3/4" of an inch. Look at in on a ruler...ok fine. now, his arms are only 32 1/2", thats 3/4" shorter then the now no big deal 33 1/4" arms, look at 3/4" of an inch on a ruler...no big deal. At some point 3/4" as it keeps adding up becomes a big deal.

And ZN, let me make this totally clear to you, this statement i am about make is 100% about PFF, and is not personally aimed at you: I could not care less about PFF and their magical unicorn grading system and any "conclusions" that they glean from them. I have been consistent on my dislike for PFF, and so this is not a pick and choose type of a thing.

If your arms are shorter then "standard" you better be a technician with your hands. Everything better be working together because if they aren't, longer levered DEs are going to get into your chest and now you're in a dog fight.

its really the same problem shorter edge rushers have. If the have short arms, and a longer armed OT can get his hands on you, you are locked out. There is little you can do, so they have to be either deadly with their speed and athleticism or have a variety of pass rush moves to keep the OT from locking you up.

Long arms for a OT doesn't equal success, but it does give you more of a chance to recover if you make a mistake or get beaten off the snap.

Not arguing, just stating how I personally see it.
