Evans played LT and that is why he was drafted, they will kick Noteboom to LT next year, they are just saying if he's an amazing LG, they will keep him there, but next year to replace Whit, all bets are off. Evans will play both tackle positions, but Noteboom's feet are much better and if something happen to Whit, I believe they would kick Noteboom outside.
Health again important this year, but I look for a good battle at RG between Blythe & Edwards with Evans being the swing tackle. Edwards now healthy after last season at Wisconsin with the shoulder issue, that hurt his draft stock could benefit the Rams. Jamil Demby also has the ability to play both Guard & Tackle, however, seems to be more comfortable on the left side.
IMO, Noteboom is still the future LT, however, Whit's in the last year of his contract and the Rams could draft someone next year, but I believe that will be for depth again with Evans & Demby battling it out for LG or the Rams draft a Guard late in the first that will start, but again with Noteboom moving to LT.
