i have no idea what that means.

im combining what i have read and heard from the same "years worth of evidence" that you have observed with what i know about human behavior. I come to a different conclusion because you just read text on a page without trying to understand the context within which it is said. imo that "path" is naive and unrealistic. but overall you are proving my point. disagreements will at least occasionally occur and no matter how much we talk about it, we are unlikely to come to agreement on it. in terms of player rankings, i may acquiesce to another's preference just to move the conversation along, but at least sometimes in my heart i likely still retain my own beliefs in a players abilities.

Here's one way life actually doesn't work. Saying life doesn't work a certain way just is not enough to support pure speculation contrary to evidence.

You want to believe a certain thing. Feel free. You want that belief to be seen as equal to years worth of evidence. I don't follow you down that path.
