They have genuine talent in Evans, Edwards and Demby. And they have one of the top 3 OL coaches in the league and great teaching staff period. All big pluses to be sure. But zero experience is zero experience and these guys need time to develop. Whitworth will again be given one day off a week from practice which will give someone (Evans?) starters reps which we have seen benefit Blythe, Noteboom and Allen in their development.
But we can't just check the box and move on that the OL is complete and ready to roll. If Whitworth goes down in week 2 for the season they DO have a serious problem on their hands. Also at center I'm not keen on just having a bunch of UDFAs compete for the backup spot.
This team has had 100% health on the OL for two consecutive years. Unheard of. I hope like everyone else it continues for a 3rd year. But to expect or assume it will would be a big mistake.
