I agree. Very nice post. My only argument is your classifying Joyner as a mediocre talent. Two seasons ago he played like an All Pro and was one of the top rated safeties. Last year? Dunno. He wasn't good at all. Did he have an injury? Was he playing not to get hurt? Did something else in the D scheme adversely affect him? Really I don't know. But, we may see him play very well again this season. On a broader issue I think your post covers about half of the greatness of our front office. The other part is knowing when to sign FAs to win the compensation game. We have been signing cut player with no compensation and letting our own players leave while getting high compensation. Soon, teams will be able to add UFAs without compensation and I predict we'll pounce on a couple of vets to make another SB run. I think we'll add an interior OL, another DLine guy and another ILB. Like you I believe in this front office and have confidence they'll make the right moves. Loved the draft. I would really love for them to bring Suh back at a discount. He has made his fortune and got into the big game with us, so he might come back. Love the new NT, but Suh could rotate through all 3 spots and we could keep constant pressure on any offense. Obviously he can't make 14 mil again, but maybe for half that and fewer snaps will be attractive enough for him.
