I am. Everyone is. But one should also be cautious about being too cautious. That's just as false in its own, different way as being gullible.
Here's what happened with Gaines. They traded up for him. Then talked about watching him in senior bowl practices.
I just doubt they could lie that elaborately in that much detail about a player on short notice like that. "I know, let's say we watched him in senior bowl practices!" And how often do these guys come out and say he is definitely competing to start, and say it with that much detail and enthusiasm?
And yes I have heard them say their guy wasn't there. That's how we know about Bobby Wagoner.
So it's seldom as simple as saying either believe everything, or believe nothing.
