For Rapp, Henderson, Long and Gaines they could all carve out roles as rookies. Whether any of them starts or not it is very feasible each could see anywhere from 15-30 snaps per game.
Consider that as a rookie Rapp could take snaps from Christian and Countess, who combined for over 400 snaps last year.
Henderson should earn playing time as a 3rd down back.
Long steps in likely as the CB4 that Shields was a year ago (who played 339 snaps).
Gaines could indeed be a solid rotational guy at NT and depending on what they do with Brockers could see 25-30 snaps per game.
So while overall this was a draft about the future of their secondary and adding depth in various spots I see it as far from the redshirt draft the Rams had a year ago.
I think you're generally right.
But I think Gaines is the starter, straight-up.
I agree that Long takes Shields's spot as the 3rd outside CB. I don't agree with the people who put him at slot corner--that's Robey-Coleman.
I do think that Henderson sees more than just time as a 3rd down back. They will rotate and we will see him in whole series (assuming he gets some basic pass-blocking down).
