You have been beating the drum for the Rams to upgrade TE for a long time and your posts have generated conversations that I have found to be thought provoking.
Some of those conversations have shown me:
- that the Redskins' red zone success was no better than the Rams' when McVay called their plays even though the Redskins had top shelf talent at TE. Makes me wonder if the Rams' deficiencies in the RZ have more to do with McVay's shortcomings they've perceived issues with their TEs.
- that half of the top 10 teams in RZ efficiency have TEs who are no better than Higbee and Everett. Makes me wonder why the Rams can't improve their RZ efficiency simply by doing what those 5 teams do.
- that despite your claims to the contrary the Rams not only use the middle of the field, the actually do so quite effectively.
