I don't think that if there is a starting quality guard sitting at 31 that it means they have any less faith in Noteboom. He is being groomed for left tackle and would be a great backup for either tackle position this year and a starter at left tackle next year.
I don't mean that Notebook would not be a good starting guard - just that there are other options.
If the Rams pick a guard at 31 or in the 2nd round via trade down it will show they agree with you.
If they use a 3rd rounder to pick an OL prospect I think that shows they are less concerned about the position.
If they disregard OL in first 3 picks that probably means they are really high on Demby or someone else the currently have.
