When I think about the best way to improve our team Gardner-Johnson is the name that keeps coming to mind. A 3 year starter at the STAR or slot corner in a 5 DB defense. He can cover man up, with experience he has the speed to handle cover 1 deep free responsiblity, and is physical.

I envision a 6 DB lineup with Littleton and 4 down players. Talib, Peters, Coleman in the slot. Weddle, JJ3, and Gardner-Johnson roving. This would give Wade tremendous flexibility in disguising coverages. And it would give him three physical Safeties and Littleton who could be sent on the blitz.

Long term Gardner-Johnson could be the deep free we will need.
