I don't have any natural discomfort with Goff nor do I have a problem with praising him especially when hes earned the praise. In this very thread I mention his performance against the Saints in the NFC Championship which was not tremendous but clutch and a tough win on the road that he very much was responsible for. Yes I do deem other QBs better than him and its based on the Rams extraordinary WR talent especially with Kupp and how dramatically Goff dropped once Kupp wasn't there. Name another QB on the list below that has a Kupp as a 3rd WR? Hell many of them don't have a Reynolds
Goff is a good young QB who needs to continue to grow and play better against playoff caliber teams. You need to stop being so sensitive about me being critical of Goff. You're not his Mom. Prior to the last 8 games I had Goff ascending into the top 10... his performance down the stretch dropped him back out. Hopefully he will play himself back in
Every single QB in the first group below I would take over Goff if I needed to win one game. Every single one. It doesn't mean Goff sucks. It means I think hes somewhere outside of the top 10 and middle of the pack

Using the same standard what is your baseline for the top 10 QBs (your Top 10). Just curious if there is just recency bias based on losses and fandom or if in actuality Goff fall below your top 10 against top teams.
My hunch is Aaron Rogers has won crap in the past 2 years. Is he a top 10 for you. I want to know who Goff is in company with.
I know you have had a natural discomfort with Goff and praise to him comes almost reluctantly and of course mostly if he has won and his performance is tremendous. On the other hand you would comparatively presume other QBs to be established and worthy of a pass despite them having less success than Goff over the past 2 years.
To suggest Goff should be top ten presumes that he has nothing to do with the perceived talent around him and that McVay could produce a top 10 QB and some how Goff has just been riding those coattails. I beg to differ and I think McVay would more strongly disagree. BTW Mannion could not be a top 10 QB so it is not automatic.
