just read your posts on the subject and you said that if you were a Saints fan you would welcome the change.....I am asking why do you determine it to be a boon for them for the change? That call is missed all the time....I am sure it has happened in other games at other times that could be said by some to also change fans of other teams season as well......that is why IMO the non call was not a determining factor of that game. I say that because I truly believe a game is won by teams overcoming such plays, just as people in real life have to deal with bad calls on them as well.
I am not a saints fan but if I was this would not vindicate a damn thing....I'd be pissed at my team for missing so many chances to put those stinking RAMS away and we blew it. And by the way doing this now IMO is sort of giving reason for their loss and even IMO recognizing it as the reason....it was the refs it was the call.....the saints should have won.....I firmly disagree.....The RAMS had some missed calls and crazy calls in the SB...IMO they lost because they did not overcome those plays....they lost because they did not execute well enough...not because of refs actions....
The changing of how this penalty is looked at IMO will damage the game more than help it.....Now you have coaches determining penalties being called......part of the game is the mistakes made.....fumbles INt's and IMO yes even missed calls.....the beauty of the game is when a team over comes those things and finds a way to win......Now you can start to include the crying, whining coaches on the sideline into the fray.....and the natural way a game occurs is being sanitized.....
