You are correct in saying that Wade historically has not placed high value on his ILB’s.
But if a special player there should fall into his lap for around $10M? Seems like a no brainer to me.
Two things.
First, I think that this is a long shot. But Suh, Peters, and Talib seemed like long shots last year, too.
Second, I anticipate that Barron is a goner anyway, one way or another.
As an aside, Wade/Barry did a poor job with their LB corps last year. Both personnel decision wise and development/scheming wise. Ebu and Longacre as starting edge players? Are you KIDDING me? A 10 year old could come up with a better plan than that. Geez...
So maybe Wade needs to rethink his damned LB philosophy?
