All McV's comments indicate is that they don't quite know the cause.
CJ said it was his knee. The Rams reported he had inflammation. Inflammation does not happen for NO reason.
Something caused that.
In terms of not needing surgery, that's old news. He took an MRI weeks ago, and it showed no structural damage. So you would not expect surgery. Them saying NOW that he doesn't need surgery just repeats what we already know.
In terms of what could cause pain and inflammation and NOT require surgery, there's a pretty long list of possibilities.
