1) I think that Everett could possibly be that but I'm not sure. I'd like to see him get stronger if they are going to ask him to do that kind of stuff MORE

2) re the oline I think you might be on to something ... and it may sound like I'm talking in BW terms but I do think its complex... and also connect to the oline and perhaps hiding some of their weaknesses. At least as they are currently configured. For the example the PA passing absolutely helps them immeasurably. Are you saying get away from zone blocking? Heres the thing I think the zone blocking is designed to get the most out of Gurley's skill set

does that need to change? …. yeah I think it does... I think the league has caught up to the 3WR base offense and that's exactly what we saw down the stretch and then again in the SB

Two questions for you.

I do think Everett is evolving. Is the type of TE that you think we need the kind where he needs to be a better blocking TE?

Also, where does OL scheme fit into this discussion? I'm not entirely sure the thing that needs to change is 3 WR vs more TE sets.

What happened against the Bears and NE is they dominated our zone blocking scheme by aggressively charging forward. Maybe the change should be in how our OL blocks. I'm not sure that changing how often we use 12 personnel vs 11 is gonna make a difference there.
