McVay is growing and learning.

Last year we lost in the first round to the Falcons. I think McVay learned a lot with that experience.

This year he mixed it up big time to get past that first round against Dallas and it was great to see.

Maybe next year he will be ready for the first round and the championship game. Then maybe the year after that he will be ready for the SuperBowl.

You also have to realize that we played not just against one of the best chess players to ever coach, we are playing against that same guy in his 9th SuperBowl.

McVay is being asked to do for his first time, what BB is doing for his 9th, that is an extremely tough draw to scheme against.

In order to shift plays and offensive schemes, you had to have practiced them. Neither team could install every alternative in the book and this is why the defenses dominated. It is easier to switch up an entire defense in two weeks, it is impossible to switch up an entire offense.

With longevity, continuity, and experience, you start installing plays for the SuperBowl in the preseason. As Goff, McVay, the WRs, and Gurley stick together, and if the line mostly stays in tack, we will have the luxury of installing alternatives early and all year next year.
