I agree that there might have been some elements of what the Bears did...but most was unique. Here's a question for you...what do you think McVay should have done to counter the uniqueness of the defense that day?
I personally think they should have had an alternate run blocking scheme in case the Zone blocking was nullified. They could have gone to a "trap and Gap" scheme which would at least get them thinking twice before heading up the field on every snap. Even using a few screens might have helped, but most of all I think he should have done what the Eagles did last year. Come out with different sets and make them THINK all the time to slow them down.
I was very disappointed in the gameplan from McVay...I hope he learned his lesson and gets better like he learned from the Viking game in '17
