Sure, i get what he's saying. Essentially he's just pointing out that the further the team goes the more it hurts when they lose. Also, the closer the game was. And throw in somethin like a bad-call and you end up with a great big hurt.
I still wince when i think of Joe Kapp and 1969. And that was, what, 50 years ago. And i still wince when i think of John Stallworth.
And that was forty years ago.
Close playoff losses hurt the most. Just seems obvious to me.
