In the playoffs every year keeps JamesJM a happy man.
I SWEAR to you this next is TRUE... I was in some drive-tru recently, can't remember which one.. give me a second. Hmmmmmmm. I can't remember. But here's what happened: It was a two window drive-thru... at the first one, the pay window, I asked the kid, looked to be early 20's, who he was rooting for in the SB. His first reaction was to laugh... then he told me he was from Boston and had been a Pats fan his entire life. (This is in California, by the way, I think Fresno but could be wrong about the city).
Now here's the surprise... after telling me that he told me he was rooting for the Rams BECAUSE... according to HIM - the Pats had been in it too often and it was time for a change.
I SWEAR ON EVERYTHING THAT IS HOLY that that actually happened. Is this some new kind of fan that has evolved when I wasn't paying attention?
Now YOUR post reminded me of this - - - - I cannot understand but KNOW people... one Pat fan and SEVERAL Niner fans back in the Montana days who felt not winning the SB was WORSE than finishing the regular season OUT of the playoffs. I don't get that.. I really don't. But for some people.. I take them at their word, it's like that. - JamesJM
