In 2001 it was crushing because we were supposed to win. It was a given, we were the better team and the Pats took advantage of the refs not calling holding on our receivers, which sucked.
Today feels different. We are the underdogs. The Pats are the vet team and everyone knows they are legit. This game is great for our up and coming team, especially for Goff and McVay.
I want to win, I expect to win, but no way I would settle for a losing season instead of going to the SB. The experience alone is invaluable for our team.
With all that said, I clearly would be bummed if we lose, but as of right now we are going to win so I am smiling.
