I actually quite liked Payton before this Game, kind of the Martz of this time. But the way he has complained and so on has made me lose all respect (and I believe it would be same if that game was against the Eagles or some other team and not the Rams).
There were so many missed penalties, especially on that very play. The Goff face mask on the 1 yard line --- increased chance of it being a 7 point game.
They had the chance to stop the Rams scoring again.
They had the chance to score first in OT.
They couldn't stop the Rams.
I get that it was a bad missed call on NCR, and I would have been upset about that as a Saints fan. But that was not the Game! So Payton, have some class.
