We shouldn’t try to overthink this...

January 25, 2019 08:38AM
We are blessed to have three youngish and outstanding men at the 3 most important positions for an NFL team.

In fact, I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that they constitute the envy of the league.

Kevin Demoff. The man doesn’t get enough credit, IMO. Aside from overseeing the move to LA, the building of the new stadium, the help for players and coaches during emergencies such as fires or the last minute change of venue from Mexico City to LA, and probably a million other related things? He flat out manages the cap in such a way as to enable signing AD, Gurley, Cooks, Suh, and soon Goff to massive salaries and still provide room for bringing in FA’s that collectively result in a SB caliber roster. A big part of the Snead retention and the McVay hire from under the noses of the 49ers, as well. I wouldn’t trade him for any other, tbh.

Les Snead. Not sure he gets all the credit he deserves, either, although that does seem to be changing. Has an extremely difficult job, but his hits clearly outnumber his misses. High draft picks, low draft picks, udfa’s, trades, FA, Snead does them all and his results speak for themselves. Might have the most talented roster in the league right now, surely in the top three. He handpicked his own like-thinking scouting department and they seem to be firing on all cylinders. Snead had a big hand in the quick decision to hire McVay, too. How important was that? I wouldn’t trade Snead for any other, either.

Sean McVay. What can I say? Call him a prodigy? Or a genius? His achievements speak for themselves. I mean, he is on the cusp of a SB victory just 2 seasons after taking over a 4-12 league doormat team. A fairytale start to his HC career, if there ever was one. Almost every other team is looking for the next Sean McVay. What more needs to be said?

In short, we are blessed almost beyond belief. And a ton of the credit for our current success should go to the above trio, IMO. All three of them needed each other. What synergy!
