Anyone feel the PI in OT was a makeup call? I sure did. I mean it was PI probably but worse than that had been going on all game.
I just think the officials were letting the players decide the game at that point. Maybe that's why the face mask against Goff wasn't called. Or, maybe, no official saw the face mask.
Today a colleague at work, who used to referee high school basketball, explained to me that it is possible to miss calls even though a play happens right in front of you. It depends on what your eyes are focused on. This is what he thinks happened on the NRC play. He thinks they just flat missed it. I guess we won't know unless the officials who didn't make the call explain themselves.
