Instead of yammering on endlessly about the "controversy" aspect of this, why doesn't somebody actually breakdown the play and say, "OK, here's how and why this happened." They can still say it should have been called, but at least acknowledge that it was (apparently), an excellent diagnosis by NRC that ended with maybe not perfect execution. It would at least give some perspective to the whole thing.

Also did everyone see the story on him being lined up on the opposite side of the field to begin the play ?. He diagnosed it just before the snap and no one else on defence saw the WR crouching in the backfield .
It was a great read on the alignment /motion.
He is a great little player vs the pass and bubble screen.
Please understand he didn't get beat in the trueist sense of things ...
He ran to pick up an open man away from his area of responsibility !!.
That was an amazing play by NRC, not least because he left KAMARA (of all people) to go get Lewis.
That account also helps explain why he so apparently obliviously beelined and pancaked the guy. He himself says he "panicked" when he realized the situation, and (me talking) clearly wasn't cool and collected enough to look for the ball. And, for that matter, it explains Brees' throw, which otherwise looks terrible and very pickable. Well, Brees had no idea NRC as there because NRC had absolutely not business screaming toward that sideline.
