because of age and injury but quarterbacks as Brady has shown depending on health can play in their 30's or in his case strong in their 40's. It is a case by case basis, but I am judging based on the entirety of the career to date, not just present year.
Rodgers didn't have the year by his standards but he did have a significant injury he battled through most of the year, plus he didn't have much around him and of course, I believe he carried that coach for years that is lacking.
But when you watch Rodgers in his prime light it up with every kind of pass, elusiveness in the pocket, it was in another world. It was like watching Michael Jordon play in him prime.
His number of years of 100+ QB ratings before a 100+ QB rating was easier to do was simply amazing. He did win 1 superbowl and probably wins a second had it not been for his coach going into the cradle position early in the game.
Right now, Rodgers appears to be on the downside of his career, but what he did was so special and yes, much more special than Brady, grading on the bell curve factoring in the environment they both played in and who was the coach they each played for.
