when the Rams played the bears, it just wasn't happening. the offensive line got dominated, You can say 3 WRs, 2 TEs, 3TEs, Full block.

None of it mattered as they flat out got their butts whipped and that ineffective running game meant less first downs which meant less plays

unless you can convince the NFL and get them to change from 10 yards to a lessor amount of yards for a first down, it wasn't happening. So abandoning the run is a mischaracterization unless you want to be critical of the rule that requires 10 yards for a first down.
