... in no particular order, were Fowler, Noteboom, Littleton and Anderson.
Fowler has steadily improved since arriving and was very good off the edge. The Rams need at least one other defender besides Donald delivering consistent pressure and Fowler is the most likely candidate.
Noteboom played nicely and did not look overwhelmed or out of place. Best you can hope for.
Littleton just makes plays. He does not do everything well but he does enough well that to me he is a foundation piece for their 2019 defense.
Anderson runs hard, smart, and gives the Rams an excellent duo in the backfield. To get to and win the Super Bowl the Rams would have to win at least one game offensively on the ground and he and Gurley are probably the best running duo of any playoff team.
My ONE concern heading into the playoffs- Sullivan in pass protection. They have to figure something out to give him more help. He is an effective run blocker but is getting walked back into Goff's face way too much. I would like to see Goff rolled out more often too.
A particularly good reply, 93.
Yeah, Sully is now our weakest link on the entire O. It’s about his pass pro, of course. His run blocking looked fine to me.
What to do? I’m thinking that his days as starter are winding down. Maybe even at some point in these playoffs if Kromer has enough confidence in Allen or Blythe. I’m serious.
It’s no secret where opponents want to attack us on passing downs. Can McVay afford that in these playoffs? Tough decision, I know. So many pros and cons both ways.
