Hanging 48 points on the 49ers is always a pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
The OL played great. Period.
Boom looked very solid when replacing Big Whit. Did NOT look like a rookie at all. Knew his assignments, threw good blocks on both run and pass plays, looked strong, too.
What a signing CJ Anderson was. Makes Snead look brilliant.
Well, Reynolds is back in the picture as an O weapon, huh?
Barron really came to play, didn’t he? Been missing that all year. Very nice to see.
I can't tell how y'all how happy Section 18 was. There's a lady been showing up every SF game in full, glorious drag 9er gear. She's a spectacle to see, and I've suffered as she gets to do her thing in my row. Well, hello and goodbye. She left early. And it was all my pleasure to bid her adieu.
With the bright news of Whitworth, I'll get to relish a bit more of Boom's fine outing. In hindsight, perhaps they should have pulled Whitworth sooner.
I'm not any fan of the 9ers, but I'll say again how much Kittle has impressed. And, as a fan of Tomlinson it was tough to see him carted out. And high marks to the Ram fans who gave him applause for his efforts as he was wheeled away. As for Boom? The moment isn't too big for him, and he yep.....didn't play like a rookie.
A toast to you, and the board, and especially Les Snead for his wisdom in snapping up CJ Anderson. Who knew?
He gets a lot flack, but Josh Reynolds remains a factor. 2 TDs on 4 catches.
And I'd be crowing about him more, but Higbee sure stormed the castle. Coach calls up a great play, and Tyler cashes in. Add in his work with OL blocking, and I'm enthusiastic about the offense right now. The only thing I'd like to have a seen was Everett take on Richard Sherman. They had that lined up multiple times, and never really went there.
I was thrilled to see Barron get that sack. Maybe shocked is closer to the reaction. Has it been by design that they've kept him out of the charge? Is that Achilles continue to snare his push? I'll say this about that. Would love to see that plenty more.
I do have a concern.
After seeing Pharaoh Cooper mishandle duties in his biggest game ever, to see Natson's fumble against the Eagles, and the subsequent "muff" on Sunday has implications of doom. We simply can't have that error again. He got the ball the last time, and we went down the field and scored. In the first scenario, it's possible that the Rams might have lost their last chance to gain the number one seed. In a game that so often is decided on a handful of plays, turnovers when your defense just got off the field, and your in the last stages of the game are so magnified that there's a solid chance Bones may have to clip the wings of his return team.
We killed the 9ers, and never had to reach into the bag of tricks to do so. We did what a premier club does to a club lacking key components. Slammed them.
My kind of regular season ender.
