When the Rams go with their 11 package they still have 2 top 20ish WRs and the defense adjusts by taking out their run-stuffer LB and bringing in their 3rd CB. I bet McVay has a dozen ways to arrange for that #3 CB to end up covering Woods or Cooks. It is almost immaterial that Reynolds is taken out of the play - the Rams will still have an advantage somewhere.
If the Rams went with their 12 package I assume Everett comes in and Reynolds goes out. And then the D pulls their #3 CB off the field and brings in a 260 LB. Does that exchange really work to the Rams advantage?
I'm not a great X and O's guy but it seems like it would work if we could get Everett isolated on that 260lb. LB.
